We had such a good time the previous Sunday, My buddy Gerry and I thought we'd try it again on the following Saturday (October 29th). Once again the forecast was for a beautiful Sunny, warm day with the winds down and we arrived at Waupoos Marina to a Picture perfect Sunrise.
We went back to the same area where we had luck the previous outing and starting trolling in 20 to 25 feet of water with the usual array of Crankbaits, Bucktail Spinners and Swimbaits.
It didn't take long before we started catching fish.
They stopped biting after a couple hours of catching and we tried some other areas with no luck. Came back to the first area where we caught them all and still nothing.
We broke off 3 pike because of some bad line and lost one at the side of the boat. At the end of the day we landed 8 fish for 12 hooked. What an awesome fishery. We caught most of flicker minnows and husky jerks. a few on Bucktails and swimbaits. All 100 feet behind the planerboard. We trolled between 2.8 and 3 mph. Gerry kept one pike to eat and the rest were live released back into the lake, hearty and healthy!
Another perfect day!
Tight lines!
