Just reading an old book called Gateway To Oblivion by Hugh Cochrane. Compares the great lakes area to the Bermuda Triangle for weird events, strange stories, disappearances + what not. Refers to the "Marysburgh Vortex" a twilight zone at the eastern end of Lake Ontario, among other areas. Quite an interesting read so far. Have any fisherpeople had or seen any weird stuff on or around the water ? Just curious.

Hello Ziffel, well I must admit there was some strange happenings around Springside Park back in the late 60's and early 70's a lot of real pretty lights flashing,,,,,,,,, :) remember those days Ziffel? :)

I am in the field and feel compelled to respond to what sounds like a ridiculous book. With thousands upon thousands of boats using the Great Lakes and having an assortment of microclimates given the large bodys of water.....S(*& is bound to happen. They can "play" at studys all they want, but to anyone that is around water with traffic...it will all make sence.

Storys spinning yarns about the Bermuda traiangle are designed to sell books.

Edit note
.....hey.......I hope I did not make anyone hesitant about posting. I like to have fun with ziffel and do not want to detract from anyone enjoying oddities from the area.

Regards
Donald Stokes
