Picked up (and released, should have brought a cooler LOL) 3 small juvenile salmon 16, 21, 25 inches in American waters south of Ducks along the "Wall" today. Very calm and hot.
Several, well equipped local boats doing the same.

All 3 were deep, 90 ft down over 130-ish fow. Both riggers and Dipsy's hooked up.

Hopefully, the bigger more mature 4 year olds will be coming soon, and appear on Canadian side, west of Ducks.

The way you wrote your report might leave readers with the opinion that all three could have been kept. Only one of those three would have been legal to keep. NY side minimum length is 25 inches and Ontario side minimum length is 63 cm.

Thanks for the info Mitch. I will check into it.

I thought that the minimum length for Chinook (King) salmon in NY State was 15". The 25" inch minimum was for Atlantic, which can be hard to come by. I think mine were all small Kings. Either way, they are free. :D :D

RC, I owe you an apology. Not sure why I thought you were referencing Atlantics (lack of coffee, old fart, new glasses are on their way...). You are correct in that 15" is the minimum length. Good fishing to you.......
