Launched from the ferry, no issues launching but when loading the boat back up there is a small drop at the end of the concrete. Unfortunately my boat trailers crossmember sits pretty low and hit that ledge when driving out. I was going slow enough so no damage to ramp or the trailer but had to put a few sticks under the tires to help clear that lip. Just a heads up if your trailer is like mine.

Anyways, started fishing near the lighthouse, first rod moved just east of lighthouse in 100fow, got a small walleye to the back of the boat before it came off for a quick release. Shortly after we caught 2 walleye( 6.5 lbs and 7.5 lbs) both released and a little while later we caught a sheepshead.

Both walleye were caught off 800 series reef runner gold with red nose. Drum was caught on white and blue bandit. Water temps 45.9 surface, and we were trolling appx 1.5 mph.

Hope to get out a few more times!

Good luck everyone

Jerry

Thanks for the report. This forum seems to be pretty tight lipped about what is going on good or bad.

Great report. Thanks. I was also out on Friday, fishing east of light house and along the far shore near the bat cave. One small laker only. But, marked tons of fish in that 100 FOV or deeper, all in the 50 ft or deeper range. This was the second day out (fished mid Nov also), and again, only marking fish deep. Nobody closer to the surface. Were you pulling yours out of the deep?

No we kept all our lines up pretty high, a few lines with no snap weights, and ran a few with only 0.5 - 1 oz snap weights. We like releasing the bigger fish so don’t want to pull them up from too deep. But I agree, we marked quite a few fish down deep.
