With the sketchy ice conditions, I put the boat back together yesterday and ventured out to the Gap with my youngest son. My experience with lakers is very limited but even with a few equipment malfunctions that left us with one rigger and one dipsy, we still managed to boat 6 including a 24 pounder on a mag dipsy with a silver, gold and black spoon. Unfortunately, the hook was so deep it caught in the gills, hence the blood. The other hot lure was a chartreuse spin n glo. If you're looking for an alternative to ice fishing, this isn't bad at all!
