Well folks. I have lived in Belleville for just about 10 years. This has to rank as the most snow yet.
I remember well the floods we had back a while. Made a mess of our camp on the Bay.
Here's hoping we get an early, slow, melt so we don't get flooded again.
But I would recommend for anyone on the local waterways to take any and all precautions before the thaw.

Regards

I was thinking the same thing. With all the snow north of us too all adds up to high water levels and flooding. I drove through bracebridge on the weekend and was blown away by how much snow they have.

March 4th.
I noticed today the Moira has water running on top of the ice by the train bridge at College.
Be careful out there as I did see a hut out at the mouth of the Trent by the arena.

Regards

Out on a waterfront bike ride today I noticed the water level is way down. Looked like late fall levels.

I agree water levels are low. Also, here in Kingston, we have had a number of sunny, warmish windy days so the snow is disappearing pretty quickly. The sun and wind helps dry things out so the amount of runoff is reduced.
