As I'm sure you all know by now that the walleye bite for the big ones is on. With the new weather pattern we have had a lower bite ratio in some areas. My pro staffer for walker down riggers did great the other day at the reach and beond the ferry. He and his son landed 9 in total lost a few more and most of them were 8 plus pounds. On wednesday a real good fishing budy of mine did a fantastic job in big bay at trident point. He and his wife got a full days fishing in and managed to put 14 in the boat. He was telling me that they were a mixed bag of sizes but did manage a 12 and 1/4 pounder. The main lure selection for him was reef runners , deep dive huskey jerks and my secret bait(this one I'll tell you when I see you) The main colours for the reefers and huskey jerks have been purple, (high silver flash in blue, black , purple and whites.) Other colour combinatons that have been doing a good job have been the pink and of course you perch patterns. The trent river (mainly at the mouth is producing some nice eater size for those who want these. Minnows on jigs and jiogging spoons have been doing a great job on these as well as the odd biggin.
We are going to be trying some different areas this weekend and I will let you all know whats up as soon as I can.
Remember have fun be safe and bring back everything you took with you................Ron
