I've noticed that in some posts that people are catching some on downriggers. Are they using flashers combined with their spoons/lures or just the traditional 5-6 feet of line from the cannonball to the lure?

For us, when using the riggers , we still have a 100-200 ft. lead.

The use of the riggers allows us to get spoons and shallow diving lures down to the fish. This gives the walleyes a new profile/action they don't often see. They also work a great strike indicators.

Safety First,
Jack
