Hello to all

I've been a frequent visitor to the Quinte Fishing Forum the last couple of years and have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge about fishing the Bay of Quinte.

Great job to all who contribute !

Myself and fishing buddy Andre were up in the reach Nov 17-18 , east of the ferry (with all the others) Reef runners 200ft off boards and 50ft to board as well as flat lead line w/spoon straight back 120ft

After having been to “The Bay” on a few previous adventures ( 4 trips—10 days total) and having met with limited success ( 10 fish total between 5.5 lbs and 7.8 lbs) we at last had a decent……and amazing day and a half…netting 4 fish in 7 hrs of fishing first day 5.5 9.0 9.3 11.6 lbs …………..the 9 & 11.6 being personal bests.

In 2 hrs of fishing the following morning we finished off with 2 more……4.5 and
7.8 lbs

What a great trip…….and a great fishery !!!

Hope to get back up again !

That would be Andre with his P/B 9.0

There must have been 1/4 lb of stuff growing off this fish in various
spots......pretty gruesome !...........but hey, we'll take it !!!

beauty fish guys!!! Congrats
Not only is it best to release the big ones for spawing/passing on their genes but also because of the mutants and what you may turn into if you eat them.

Awesome report and great pics. This past weekend I had quite a few friends up at Merland Park and talking to them some have also done well and some didn't seem to hit the right area. They all had fun and will be up again for some winter ice fishing.

They also fished the reach and done well, it seems the lunkers are in the reach. Keep up the great work and look forward to your future postings.

Best regards,
Sam

Rosco, I am thinking of eventually upgrading to a Lund Explorer. What would a 17 foot package cost? 20G, 25G, 30G?
