Hi guys,

Was wondering if anyone can comment on cellphone coverage when on the water in the Picton/Hay Bay and surrounding area. How's the reception??? We will be staying at one of the local resorts this weekend and doing a little fishing, and won't have a marine radio if we get into a pickle and mother nature gives us a hardtime, so the cell phone question came up.

Bell and Telus seemed fine. I'm assuming Rogers would be the same.

There are a few dead spots east of the ferry. I have bell and have experienced the dead spots a few times.

Thanks guys!!! Puts the wife's mind at ease.... not that it mattered to me, I'll probably drop the damn thing in the water this weekend....lol!!! But seriously, the comfort of knowing the phone works and can be used in an emergency sits just fine with me.

Location: Cottage HAY BAY, Home T.O.
Rogers works well all over Hay Bay and out to Picton. Bell does not work in some parts of Hay Bay. The cell phone tower is located in Picton and when you are behind Ram Island it has bad reception.
