Well rolled the dice again and phoned a couple buddies to see if they would like to have one last kick at the Bay before the arctic air comes in. We were on the water by 7:40 am and Off to my first way point to see if some of the fish were still holding there. Before I could drop the trolling motor and grab my rod one of my buddies had one on. What a day we had....with 4 of us in the boat we landed 131 walleye and 2 pike. All fish were pretty much clones except for a few dinks and one good one I caught. Never measured it or weighed it just a quick photo and I let her go. Theres 3 pics. first is one of the pike that was caught

And the next is the biggest walleye of the day.

The last pic is of the four keepers I kept cause my 2 kids love eating walleyes

What a day to close out the open water season and it looks like next week I may be on ice somewhere.
Good luck and stay safe

WTG TEPPY you did as I expected you would. The 4 you kept make my mouth water well done. As for me I could find no brave sole that wanted to make the 2 hour treck with me......too cold,to windy, and the best of all (I have to take my Mother to the hair dresser) hahaha same old same old.

hey, great report.

Which general area were you fishing?

Is the place a good icefishing spot?

Thanks

The ice isn't generally safe in the area that they are fishing. I wouldn't recommend trying out there on a good year let alone this year with late ice. There is a fair bit of water movement through there and ice has never really been safe in there.
