Hi Everyone,

I know that there are some guys ice fishing behind the Belleville Hospital and as I came over the Belleville bridge this morning that area has opened right up with totally unsafe areas. The ducks are liking the open water. Hopefully the colder weather in the next couple of weeks will change things and turn it around.

Best regards,
Sam

Hi Duber,

Yes you're right it was and they are at it again today at 11:00 am. They need to keep the channel open for the river to flow into the bay. This warm weather today and the blanket of snow on the ice will not help matters any. It is going to get colder the next few days.

Some of our customers coming in are reporting good fishing north of here where the ice is 4-6 inches on the smaller lakes. Arden area is producing some good walleye and Plevna area is producing splakes.

Best regards,
Sam
