Was out to fish on Thursday evening with Ohio Joe and we fished the Shermans Pt area, and ended up at Carp Cove with Joe landing one eye around 17" on a silver/copper Dixie Spinner. Fished from 1730-2030.

Didn't fish Friday - waiting for the 'Storm' to arrive.... Never showed up.

Saturday, my Dad and I headed out to see if we could entice some of the fish in the Reach on some cranks. We flooded the kicker and ended drifting for a while to let the motor restore itself. Got it working again and headed to Old Church weedbed. Met Holy Toledo who had some fish from the weeds. I hooked one and it shook itself free - oh well!!!!!! Back to Bayview for afternoon.

Sunday, we headed out early as we were planning on being back for the Cdn Gran Prix. We headed to Long Reach and trolled crank baits off the boards from Thompsons to the yellow marker. we marked a great many fish in that area but after four passes with a different lures and combos, couldn't entice a fish into striking.

Tried Shermans Pt with Spinners and worms but all was quiet over there, my Dad lost a fish in Carp Cove and finally landed a 13" eye on the Chartruse Uzick. Headed back to Bayview at 1145. The weather was really too nice, the water was flat, great day to be out on the water.

The reports we got when we got back to shore was that many fish were caught but unlike last weekend all were quite small and released.

Back out on Tuesday,Wed & Thurs with Guests from Missouri - Details to follow.

Stay Tuned
