It was the same in Hay Bay, fish were biting on SAt and SUnday, they shut down.

Don't know if they're biting as I have not been out or haven't talked anyone who has fished since Sunday.

Havent reported much. why? not much to say really. fishing has been tough at best . drown worms, troll baits til the paint wears off. and what do you get? yep every now and then you get a fish but you sure arnt filling the boat eh!
Ive done alot of fishing on westlake, and in picton bay. all i can say is none have come easy this year since the spring. water is down almost 3 feet in westlake and warm enough to take a bath
seems the bass are active but far as walleye goes its very spotty at best......... erie dearies seem to be the hot bait. and orangish colors seem to have done the best for me. one day i put in at mcfarlins and went east of the ferry cought some nice eyes and orange was all they hit on but while comming back to take out another guy who had fished the mouth of picton harbor had a nice stringer of fish and the green worked for him, go figure, two miles apart, and two different colors
Did catch a 35 inch pike first of the week in picton but it only went 9 pounds 1 ounce on a hand held scale. very skinny fish it was but good leingth
Starting to mark fish in picton bay but getting them to bite has been a different story all together.......... cooler weather will bring a good change there im sure . cant wait to get after the big pigs
Ive never seen so much bait fish in westlake as i have this year. they seem to be all over the lake no matter where you go. i dont think the fish have to hunt food, rather just sit still and let the food swim into there mouths......... . ive had fun, but i must admit ive had beter fishing over the years in the very same water, using the very same tricks, lures, and troll speeds. ive tried every trick i know, and have cought fish. BUT.But.BUT it sure has been spotty.................. Good luck guys, happy fishing, save me a few *L*
