I managed to get out a lot of days and nights for the last couple of weeks both by boat and from shore. It’s been a bit quite for the shore fishing when it comes to the walleye but I did manage to round up a few. I have been fishing all my spots I like to fish at night from shore from the Glenora ferry to the Trent River and I have found that the walleye are starting to really move from the reach. It shouldn’t bee to long and the shore fishing from Belleville to Trenton will pick up. My most productive catches have been caught near Deseronto. I did have a couple of good nights in Belleville and Trenton but they were all resident fish. Most of my fish have been caught on the Bomber long “A” deep dive (black and silver as well as blue and silver.) The white Mann’s stretch 20’s has also done a great job for me. My friend John and a pal of his did quite well the last time they were out and what they found was that they had to put a 2 ounce wait on 50 feet from the lure( a rapala deep tail dancer) with a max of 150 feet back from the board and on their long lines. Once they did this they had a very productive day. Going back out again tonight to another spot I like to fish. I will let you all know how I do.
The steelhead fishing has been a little slow until yesterday and this morning. I had an 8 fish day yesterday evening and a three fish day this morning. This morning they were all caught on my fly rod using a bead head nymph in a pink and olive colour. (One of my own inventions). Yesterday I caught them on my centre pin and bottom bouncing rods. In both cases they were all caught on roe. Hopefully I can get back out to another couple of spots I like to fish, one of them being a great spot for brown trout. I’m sure it will be sooner than later I let you know what’s up.
Here's just a couple of pics.

Ron,

Good to hear about the bows from shore, working on getting some time to travel down and fish the shore for bows.

Is it Clouser time yet?????

Cheers

Just wondering where you can get into some steelhead around the Napanee/Kingston area. My girlfriend has a cottage just north or Wilton and I might be heading down there again soon. I love to float fish but have looked on Google to try and find some creeks or rivers around the area but cannot find any. Sorry, I'm not too familiar with the area. Don't need specific fishing spots just rivers or creeks where steelhead or browns run.

Thank,

JFish
