Sorry I haven't done any reports lately but I have been very busy latently and this is the first time I could get to do a report.
The shore fishing has been a little on the slow side lately but a few fish are being caught. Last Wednesday night I managed to get one with a glass shad rap off the pier. Had to be back at the store for fly-fishing night so I left early. After it was over I stopped a swicks and did some cast from there and managed to get another three. Two of them came from the same shad and another one I got on a dam quick shad. I have not been out since then but the guys are all coming in saying that it has been not that good.
I got two reports today from the Picton. The first report came from some American guys that come to see me every year and they fished a couple of areas that I suggested and had a 6 fish day today. One of them was a 12 &1/2 pounder. They were using the dam quicks (shad colour) and the manns stretch 20's in white trolling at 150 feet back from the boards. With the stretches they ran a 1&1/2 ounce clip wait 25 feet up the line from the lure and the dam quicks they ran no wait. The said the quicks were their best producers.
The other fellow is a guide from that area and he had a 3 fish day all on the td-11's in silver flash and the fire tiger. He also said that they missed at least four more fish.
I'm going out tonight for awhile but I will be out on Sunday and next Monday for sure .I'll let you know how things are. I am trying different areas to see what’s up.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL AND BE SAFE...........Ron
