The sheepshead are often on the bite for the walleye lures.

They pull hard and figth like mad.

Dig deep

It won't be long now we will keep you informed as soon as I get some reports back from Glen, he will be fishing the rivers real soon in a couple of weeks after his deer hunting season is over with.

Regards,
Sam

I don't want to fish on a boat.....I want to fish on-shore with my waders.

Sorry to deceive you Chong but your chances to catch trouts in the Bay of Quinte are very small. There is too much water there to be able to aim your fishing for this particular species. SOme trout are caught each year by walleye fishermen but it is more by accident than voluntary.

For steelhead, you'll have to visit the rivers on the north shore of Lake Ontario i.e. Ganaraska, Bowmanville Creek, Cobourg Creek, Shelter Valley Creek. Those rivers are sending their water directly in the big lake, thus the trouts can go in them with only a small jump! Be aware that the trout will only do brief visits in the rivers, on days following rainy days (more than 30 mm of rain in a short time), when water level is high. Same day or next day of a big rain is not good because the water will be blurry and colored, but after 24h the water level will start going down again and the water will be clear again, leaving nice rainbows in the holes. The trouts will then return to the big lakes couple of days later, until their next visit after the next rain.
