The way I read it, each angler is allowed 1 line with a maximum of 4 hook points . It also states that on an artificail lure a treble hook is cosidered 1 hook point. Therefore if I were to fish alone it is perfectly fine to run 2 lures off of the one line as long as the trebles dont exceed a total of four? Im thinking of running a deep rr on the botom with a floater for a slider above it. Am I perfectly legal in doing this? Technically I believe you could run 4 lures off the one line as long as you just keep the back trebles on whatever stickbait you are running. Can you imagine the mess I would have?

We have the new regulations in the store and MNR has yet to update their site with the new regulations.

This is what is written in the new regulations;

Artificial Lure- An artificial lure means a spoon, plug, jig, or other such device that is designed to catch fish by means of angling and is not an artificial fly.

Hook- A hook includes a single-pointed or multiple-pointed hook on a common shaft but does not include a snagger or spring gaff. The number of hooks includes any single-pointed or multiple-pointed hooks that are part of a lure.

Hooks and Lines- An angler may use only one line, unless otherwise stated in the regulations. Two lines may be used when angling from a boat in parts of the Great Lakes (see Exceptions to the General Regulations) and for ice fishing in many areas (see ice fishing, page 10). A fishing line must not have more than four hooks attached.
