I agree with you Jeff, I was out there on Saturday and it was 4 1/2 " where I was and where the ice has previously broken up in the past mild weather we had, I noticed its frooze very shift meaning alot of air is in that ice so be careful. I did see one guy pull in a doozy and said he got 2 like that in the morning but he is a local and knows the area so go where the groups of people are is the best bet right now. We caught a few decent perch and had some good thunks. I think that pointe anne is a pass for now but straight across is prolly much safer with lesser current in areas and prolly just as many fish if not more.
