I have had two different fellows that don't know each other at all told me this morning about fishing off George St. both went through the ice in totally two different areas obviously they are all ok. They both told me that they read on another site that George St. was good to go. I do not know what site they got this info from but I do know that I have been swaying people away from there as well as Point-Anne west and rush bar. I realize that there are people fishing these areas but the proof is now out.
With the huge amount of snow we got as well as the amount of water that is flowing down the Trent and Moria Rivers the ice conditions are changing and the current area’s are the worst. The problem with the snow and now with the warm weather is we get slush spots and down you go.
Just got another call from a guy that went out from George St. (which I told him not to go but he said he seen a lot of guys out there), yep you guessed it he went through up to his knees. Let’s get real, just because you see people out in an area does not mean that all is okay to go. Remember one thing you may see them but you did not see how they got there. I’m not going to tell you not to go someplace that I feel is not good just to have something to say. I will not put out reports like this other site did without the best safe advice I can get by my own work or from the fellows that know what they are doing.

Thanks for the update Ron, I was there on Saturday and saw a few sketchy spots. I ain't goin' there again! BYW - I had no idea that you sold pin heads and maggots !! - great for a guy like me who likes to target the plentiful panfish the bay has to offer. Have a good one
