Five of us are heading up from Northern Ontario. We are hoping to get asa much info on ice conditions and possibly (i know this is a long shot) areas where fish are holding.

We are hearing big bay has good ice- but how much- could any one advise on actual thickness. We are bringing a sled.

If any locals would like to join us on Friday, that could also be of help. We are well equipped and fairly skilled.

Any info would be much appreciated. If anyone can put us on a hot bite or attempt to, it would be greatly appreciated. And if any one ever heads my way, I have no hesitations to put you on some fish/locations.

We will be fishing this Friday and Saturday.

Cheers. (second trip to quinte and many more to come!)

you guys are coming along way to try your luck and for the most part us locals don't give up our spots much at all!!!!!!!!!!!!as for the ice conditions there was a post a day or two ago about 2 guys going into the water. you really need to go where the ice is safe, and for the most part big bay has lots of ice but the walleyes can be hard to find and sometimes even harder to catch. good luck and be safe!

remember to keep your eyes glued to your vex!!!!!!!

there is lots of ice off of potters creek, big island, point anne east for bikes and sleds. however that's a big body of water that's why they call it big bay!!!! schools of fish can be hard to find and at times even harder to catch!!!
good luck and keep your eyes glued to your vex!!!!!!!!
ps long way to come for a chance of a life time. good for you guys!!!!!!!!!

Thanks 100% Walleyes

We are die hards. 4 of the 5 coming up fish the NOPWT (Northern Ontario Professional Walleye Trail) with some success.

Last year, we iced 17 eyes just east of point anne, with a 24", 26" and a 29".

We are coming for the hogs. We have plenty of eyes up here, but a 2 lbs fish in the winter is a nice fish. Quinte has double digits and there is no better feeling the setting the hook in a fish that does not budge.

We are thinking east of point anne on Friday and go from there. Hope to meet some board members.

Again, if any of you ever head my way, PM me. I have no problems giving away my hot spots. Summer fishing (August) is very good. Cheers and any other info is welcomed. The more the better!
