I'd like to offer my congrats to Targa for his recent placing at the PWT tourney at Port Clinton on Lake Erie.

Granted it wasn't like last year, the size of the catches were considerably smaller than 2002, and his placing wasn't as high, BUT, he placed ahead of many respected and talented walleye fishers.

Here's the URL for the results http://www.liveleaderboard.com/llb.asp?t=73

Targa- will we see you on BOQ on the opening weekend?

Tom,
45th out of 130 plus teams is a very respectable finish. Great job! What happened on day 2 ? the leader board shows zeros all the way down? Are you coming down for the QFS tourney on May 25th?

9-11 foot waves made day 2 a no go a Port Clinton. Very tough fishing as the water temps varied from mid 30,s to mid 40,s. Clear water or semi-clear water was vey hard to find on day 3 after the big blow. The water in the west basin gets very dirty after a major blow like that and makes bites few and far between. Your'e right guys, a lot of big guns fell on their face at this one. I was lucky enough to find a couple of good spots early this time that held up right through the event. I had a good time rooming and fishing with Shawn Hannah from Tottenham Ontario who fished as an amatuer at the event.Shawn was with me for Mon and Tue of practice which were the best days of fishing during the event.

I was raised in Tottenham back when the poulation was only about 700 folks. We did all our fishing in Tottenham pond for speckles; now a Conservation area. Don't know Shawn though, he must have moved in since I left in 1963.

Again CONGRATULATIONs Targa in what was obviously a very tough bite in more ways than one.
