Took a quick run out to Hay Bay to bring some of the fine merchanise(stuff) for the Yard Sale on June 21st.

Talked to some of the campers who had been fishing and here's what they saw and told me. :D

Some people were catching fish in the Thompsons Pt Cove (for what of a better description), some slot size walleye and some nice pike in the 10 foot range.

Others weren't as fortunate to catch any fish BUT they saw some fish beinbg caught. Some others were REALLY doing well with the resident perch population, doing their utmost to downsize them.

Looks like the Uzick spinner was paying off, - further details from some of the active partcipants will post their results.

According to SOME the Bite was on

Once again appreciate the fishing update SuperDad. I do have a question, I here this Uzick spinner mentioned often, where might I pick up some of these spinners? I have had a hard time locating any information on the internet about them.

Thx

hey,
some buddies from work were fishing the narrows in 30', jigging white grubs and tubes (tipped) and caught 9 eyes - all still swimming. Biggest was 7lb.

Hey David,

it was a shame you didn't stay the night on Saturday, as the night was WAY BETTER than the morning. In any case here are the results:

Friday - two twenty inchers

Saturday Morning - one 22 incher, one 19 1/4, one 14, one 12. Three pike 5,7 & 8 pounds. 1 Large mouth about 4 POUNDS!!

Saturday evening - one 24 incher, one 21, four 20's, one 19 1/2, two 18's

Sunday morning - one 13, one 11 inch JUMBO PERCH! and numerous nuisance perch. The wife lost a BIG one at the church, didn't get it close enough to the boat to see it though.

Three of the other Bayview residents had a 16 inch walleye each.

All fish caught trolling the Uzick fluorescent orange except one of the 18's (chartreuse) at Thompson's point. For those that were there, I was in the Red Lund close to shore with the laughing, screaming two year old.

Tight lines all.

Ken

From your posting, I think any 10 foot pike is well worth catching. But if i could find an area like that, it would surely be a secret. We're heading down to Hay Bay this weekend in hopes of even a 5 or 6 foot pike. HE He

Very good weekend for everyone in our group.
Many fish caught trolling up and the reach, some in early eve. out past lighthouse, also at night out at Q4.

One fella reeled in a big gar pike-pretty neat,1st one I`ve seen.
Many very small pics, but lots in the 14-19" range, biggest caught was a few in the slot right around25"
