Just to say that Hay Bay Larry is right on with the bite still being on.

On Monday evening, I fished for two hours at the Green Buoy at Ram Is and had six fish, kept 16",17" & 18" - released the 13-15 inchers.

Using the Chartruese Uzick and visiting the weedbeds in the 11- 12' levels.

Fished with my wife on the 24th AM, trolled the deep water from Thompsons to Yellow MArker, didn't see any fish, NO strikes.

Headed into Thompsons Cove and went to weedlines, we caught 9 in an hour and a half, Uzick spinners in the 10 - 13' levels. Another boat with some friends were fishing a little deeper and they landed 10 fish, I believe they were using the Uzick spinner as well.

Hay Bay Larry & I went out in the evening and headed to the Old Church, tried in the weedlines - hit one about 14" in 16' feet. Tried a bit deeper in the 19 - 21' area and marked a LOT of baitfish and accordingly a lot of fish surrrounding the baitfish. I hit a couple more (20" & 19") on the Orange Uzick and a 1/4 oz bullet weight.

HBL hit a pair(14 & 15") on the Orange spinner. We stopped at 2030 and headed for BBQ at the camp.

Other Campground fishers last night hit 7 fish also not far from Ram Is.

Everything is three weeks late, the hot weather arr'd but the fish are still on the BITE.

Should be an amazing weekend when the fishhawks all show up - Tamboy included.

Best to all

Superdad,

Just read your's and HBL's reports and I am getting all excited. Usually I should be thinking about bass at this time of year, but one more shot at the picks sounds good.

I am thinking of coming down tomorrow evening, is there a motel in the Hay Bay area with a ramp near by?

Slopman. :P

There aren't any motels on Hay Bay, there are cottage rentals and some of them have launch ramps OR are close to one.

Check the cottage rentals on the quintefishing home page.

Hello,

I am new to the board, I have heard alot about these Uzick spinners. I believe one post I read last week or so mentioned possibly getting them at perfect view resort, does anyone know if this is still the case or if there are any other places that they are available. Also, who makes them?

Thanks so Much

Tom

If any of you fellow angler's have a didgital camera perhaps you could snap a quick picture of a Uzick and post it. It would be appreciated. I have contacted a friend of mine who runs a bait and tackle store in Wellington and he's never heard of them. With all the success posted on this board, I would like to at least see what they are constructed like and perhaps put something together.
