Sat 23-6pm to 8pm tried from the public launch near Sherman's point to the red buoy and all the hot spots there with no success. 8pm we went across to the south shore about 100yards east of the point and got 7 very quickly. 2 too large,2 too small, and 3 keepers.
Sunday am tried Hay bay church with none, then to last nights hot spot with none, then Mallory Bay and by noon still did not have a walleye. Heading back we tried just outside the Carp Pond(west of the sailboats, west of the public launch) and got 4 keepers. Sunday eve none until we crossed to the cove east of Thompson's point and got 2 small ones.
Monday morning(9am) very windy and had none to take home. Started at the "Carp Pond" and within an hour caught 8 homers all around 17 and 18. Bob and I had a double and a boat crossing by us also got one making it a triple. As we took our boat out another boat caught one right at the public launch.
All of ours were caught on the chartreuse spinner/worm combo. It was definitely tougher than 2 weeks ago but once you found them they were cooperative and seemed to be in very tight bunches as all would be caught within a few feet of each other and none elsewhere. We did have a huge temperature drop. that could have contributed to making it tougher. I would dearly love to have it that "tough" here at home.
