Quinte Fishing

WILL BE IN NAPANEE ON JUNE 4 HAVE BEEN READING THE POST ON THE BOARD. I HAVE NOT READ ANYTHING ABOUT THE RIVER OR THE NARROWS AND THE AREA AROUND FORESTERS. IF YOU CAN GIVE ANY INFORMATION IT WOULD BE PUT TO GOOD USE. THANKS

It's my understanding that some guys are having luck fishing the telegraph narrows by Fosters Fishing Centre and night..Haven't been there myself, but that's the local rumor.

We were fishing in the Narrows this past Saturday and had good luck trolling with crankbaits near the red buoys. My Dad and I caught 7 pickerel, all over 25", with one reaching 31 1/2"!! Big fish for this time of year. Most years the large fish have migrated back to the main lake. The weather turned bad with hard east winds on Sunday and the fish stopped cooperating. We will return the end of May for one more try. We kept only two of the fish since the new slot limit allows us to keep only one fish each over 25". We didn't catch any that were below the slot of 19". Maybe we will catch some smaller fish on the next trip for dinner.
