I am coming up in November to fish again this year and hope to keep my feet warm this year! I was wondering if any of the diehard late season fisherman could give me any advice about what boots are warmest. I realize that with minimum movement in the boat that feet won't keep real warm but any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Buy top of the line Kamik's with the thermal liner. Couple that with a pair of cotton socks and a pair of wool socks overtop and you should keep warm. Make sure you can wiggle your toes when you test fit a pair. Don't forget to keep your head covered with a nice wool toque and that will help with your extremities.

I bought the boots rated for -100 and use silk/cotton then wool socks. I bring 2 pairs of gloves and keep one pair warm inside my jacket then as my hands get cold i switch the pairs. This year I plan to bring one of the small coleman heaters (be careful in a boat ) just to touch up the hands or feet once in a while.

I agree with the Kamiks. I use them hunting as well at which point you may have to sit still for hours. I also use a pair of neoprene gloves which work well if you get your hands wet. Walmart sells the gloves cheap. Camo or brown. My boots are rated for -60. One pair of thinsulate socks. Like hockey skates, too many foot coverings reduce circulation.

If you are a size 10 for example then buy size 11 for stationary activity. This will facilitate more layers of socks without sacrificing space.
