Was out to fish on Monday the 20th with my pal - Laker.
Out on the water at 0845, looking in the deeper water at Shermans, didn't see any fish from the Big hole near lighthouse to the Red Buoy.
Headed to Yellow Marker towards Thompsons anbd found a bunch of fish in the 35-40' depths, down 24-28'.
Charter boats out in force with their planer boards up and down the Reach.
We headed towards west shore aiming for the BIG Willow and in 32', Laker had a good hit on his Hot Chub No 9 Taildancer.
You can see the results. Nice fish and a good tussle to the net.
Back out after lunch, trolled at Pig Farm, Old CHurch and when it had calmed down, headed back to west shore for that 32' depth. We trolled towards the cement plant and marked a HUGE SCHOOL of fish. After a short period, we decided to reverse the troll and the fish were GONE.
A matter of ten minutes, Would you think that those fish are moving up the Reach heading for the Narrows / Belleville or Trenton? It sure looks like that to me.
We fished the west shore, Ken's Mountain and Thompsons Pt as there were some schools of baitfish fairly close to shore.
Hauled the boat out at 1915 hrs and back to town.
All in all a good day, the wind blew in the morning and calmed off in the late afternoon and began to BLOW hard as we exited the water. The real storm hit the Kingston Area around 0500 on Tuesday a truly spectacular light show.
During the day, we tried Manns + 15's, +20's, Deep Husky Jerks, Deep Smithwicks, Fingerlings, never had another strike, c'est la walleye fishing.
