Fixed the trim the old fashioned way....smacked it until it started to work again! Got to the ferry around 1 and Jerry hooked into a 14 lber within the first 15 minutes. Next fish fought like heck and we thought it was bigger than the last only to find out that it was a 22" 6.5 lber! Boy that fish was deceiving and fat for a 22. Last fish was a 29" 12 lber. That was it for the day. Short report tonite as I'm at a friends in Napanee and they only have dial-up. Will post pics on Sunday night. See you all tomorrow!

Hey Ken, sounds like it's going well. Sheesh! 14 lber to start. How long were you out? Until dusk or later? Have you heard how anyone else is doing? Go get 'em.....Fish On'.

Holy frig! That must've been one fat-ass sow to weigh 12 pounds and be only 29"!

The 11 1/2 pounder buddy got the other night wasn't exactly skinny, and he was 32".

She was 29 x 19". If you look at my post from last weekend, my 13 lber was also only 29 but had a 20" girth! Now that was one FAT fish. The 14 lber was 31.5 " and not so fat (a male?) Anyways, going to launch the boat now....hopefully there isn't 50 boats trolling my area LOL. Good luck guys.

As promised, here are a couple of double digit eyes caught by my friend Jerry on Friday afternoon. I won't post the ones under 10 as they're just passe at this time of year LOL.

Saturday we only managed a single solitary 21 incher. V-man's wife had an 11 lber. A bunch of friends from another web board had 3 in the 24 - 25" range. It was tough out there today. Apparently the people jigging off of Thompson's were doing quite well as a friend saw 5 different boats pulling them in.

Anyhow, that's it for me for the year as I winterized the boat after we got off the water today. I am definitely hooked on this fall fishing and will be doing this on a yearly basis. Thanks to everyone for your great tips. Have a safe rest of the season and maybe we'll meet on the ice!

Thanks for all the tips Mike. I wouldn't have picked up all those double digit eye's without your advice on the snap weights and other techniques. I had winterized my boat last Saturday but am feeling this irresistible pull to continue fishing assuming the weather holds up. 8O I can always re-winterize can't I? Hope to meet you in the new year.

Superdad, I had thought about cutting Jerry's head from one of his pics as payback but that just wouldn't be right.....or would it have been??? Sounds like we won't see each other again until ice up eh? Let me know if you have a weekend free and maybe we can hook up on the water.
