Skin mounts are usually good from most places. They have something to work with. When they replicate something is when the problem starts. I had gunters taxidermy do a lake trout and it was great. Only lasted 5 years and turned orange and split and the head was fake. The fins easily broke. All for 250 and it took a year as well. All taxidermists will tell you a year if they are good. It just means they have the work .
