Post subject: report for Tues - 13th

Me and a buddy headed out at Desoronto Tuesday - ice was a about 6".
We fished just east of the bridge.

We managed 4 fish - 2 in slot (22" & 23") and 2 under 19" (all four between 13H15 - 16H00) . We lost another 3. All in all, not a bad day...could have been worse and went to work instead. Saw one other landed in the morning.

Spoke to a couple others. Monday night was good, One mentioned he landed 4, another stated he and his guys landed 6. Apparently. lots of guys out Mon (only saw a few out Tues). I was told guys were fishing right up to the bridge.

Hardwater season is here...hope to make it out soon again.

I'm usually a silent observer of this board, but I felt compelled to report as I've seen requested for ice conditions with no responses...I decided to take the 2.5 hr drive and check it out myself, I'm gald I found ice, would have been disappointing to drive out and find no ice...it's worth the drive to Quinte.

Best of luck to all and be safe!

I was told the ice was very slushy at Sherman`s and at the Hay Bay Church ramp. Has anyone been out there yet?. Did you walk out or go by machine.

If you're asking me, we walked and set up our portable.

Dennis,

As I posted yesterday. Shermans is not slush. There are
pressure cracks that appear to be open. It was no problem
walking out. 6 inches of ice.
