I will rent a boat to fish for walleye/bass on the bay area close to Belleville this long weekend. I never fished on boat before. Does anyone can give me some advices about location, lure/bait, tips?

My advice for bass or pike is just look for weedlines. If you can stand in the boat it would help see them before your on them, also get a pair of polorized glasses to help cut the glare and spot the weedlines.

Use shallow running crank baits and surface baits over the weeds if there not too slobbed up on the surface, jig and plastic to get right into the slob, and spinners-baits and deeper running cranks to work the edge.

Depending how many people are in the boat with you everyone should try a different technie to see what works.

good luck and pratice C&R
