An interesting question. I am busy with the garden right now but might suggest taking a pek at the winter and weather of 1978 if I recall, for "near perfect spawning in BOQ". A banner year that reulted in an outstanding year class, etc.

Dr. Cassleman (senior research scientist- MNR- Glenora) has completed some very interesting findings regarding this area. There should be a summary available for public access.
