Fished for two and a half hours Sunday AM over by the south shore launch site and hit three on the Uzick Spinner( 10" / 16" / 18").

Fished again in the evening with my son for a couple of hours, got a 16" eye in the weeds south of Ram Is- Uzick spinner.

Water level has dropped a bit.

Couldn't get out Monday AM, Big storm, lots of thuinder and lightening.

Tight Lines

Hey Superdad,

Always appreciate your posts updating us all on the fishing in the Bay. Would you mind sharing where you can purchase those Uzick spinners and what colours are productive. Also, do you troll for most of your fish?Found my success rate for walleye while trolling has increased at least 100% since I purchased my electric trolling motor last year. Maybe it's that dead slow speed........noticing some of the productive spots this year seem reminiscent of a number of years ago. Go figure.

Tight lines......Paul

Paulie,

These spinners are handcrafted by John Uzick, a fellow Quinte Board-reader, who is quite often willing to share his spinners with other anglers.

We have been using a Chartreuse and a Florescent Red, a piece of a plastic worm and a Small piece of worm for scent.

Slow trolling is the key. Will be out Sat and Sun.
