Seems to be a problem finding someone who tried one. I have heard, which I would really like verified, that they are quiet :!:

Any info appreciated :!:

I remember a buddy of mine had a Sears 7HP Gamefisher,we use to call it lawnmower with a prop.It was noisey and over heated a couple of times. We tried to get parts 2 years later,Sears quit handling them.I picked one Briggs up at the fishing show found them a little heavy. I guess it would be all right for a runabout.

Thanks tdoug, that is a definite draw back so I'll have to check 'em out good. I just want something to throw into the truck, to take where the boats are supplied...

Sometimes it's easier throwing a kicker into the truck than hauling the whole boat....I'm thinking mainly my trips to Quebec in the spring :!: ...

Hi! Have never heard one of these engines run so can't comment on the noise level. I do know they are a lot further advanced than the old Gamefisher. The new one is a four stroke vs: the old 2 stroke. They weigh in at 56 lb. Two yr. warranty. You can find more info on the B&S site. Hope my $.02 worth helps.

Rick
