Lots of fish being marked, tried all kinds of lures, no luck. What's going on? Is it the weather? Or are the shads still in?

What areas have you been fishing? Compared to last year, the fishing seems to be a lot slower?

Big Bay area...launching outta Belleville...

we aren't walleye fisherman, and we had no problem catching some 14-18" ers.

Only spent 30 minutes max fishing for them, in the middle of the day, and caught four or five...and a few jumbo perch.

Bass and Pike are way more fun, and they fight a lot harder...but as long as there are walleye around, and fisherman with hungry bellies, my fish'll be left alone...

Walleye are boring.

It's definitely slower than previous years. I was out last saturday with 2 friends and caught 10 on the day. They were very scarce. Early in the morning we marked quite a few but they weren't hitting. I had thought as the weather got warmer things would pick up, but that has yet to happen.
Fishing sunday till noon things were really dead only caught sheepshead and white bass...Larry
