 Post subject: Forrester's Island

I have been told there is a shoal east of Forrester's island (not far from where the ice fishing tents go up each year). Although I have fished the area east of Forrester's this spring/summer my only type of fish catches have been smallmouth bass, rock bass and sheephead. I have also seen huge schools of carp not far from the east shore of Forresters.Anyone catch other types of species in this area? I don't know if this shoal is a producer in the ice fishing season or whether it should be tried once in a while in the spring, summer and fall. I see boats fishing in the area but to date have not seen anything of significance boated. :?:

I have caught yellow perch in the area you describe. This was about 5 yrs ago.
