I spent 1 day as a scrutineer and the fella I was with was throwing senkos. I also heard these were popular with a few of the others as well. A senko is the same thing as a sluggo. They wre rigging it with a 4/0 or 5/0 etra wide gap hook and throwing it on a spinning reel without any weight. Basically just tossing it out and twitching it back to the boat. 2 others patterns that i know of were a white/pearl tube rigged texas style and the ole Jig n Pig. As for spots. I saw a lot of boats along the Trenton to Belleville area shorelines and I heard of boats running as far as south/smith bays.
