Hay Bay Report -Sept 3/04

Just a brief note to bring everyone some good news about Hay Bay. The recent reports of its demise is GREATly exaggerated.

Talking to some campers this afternoon, they reported getting 8 walleyes this morning, the biggest was about 6.25 lbs.

Where?????????????????

South from Shermans. You'll see the boats on the weekend to ascertain what hot spot I'm referring to.

Also heard of some fish brought back to Merland Park that were caught on the south shore east of Merland. Don't know where exactly.

SAw Ken & Jo as they arr'd at Hay Bay after a Horrendous drive from Toronto area. Accidents, broken down cars blocking the lanes and then after they passed that - an overturned transport.

Oh the joys of the 401 :oops:
