As another location, I fish the area around Pidgeon Island, which is just south west of Wolfe Island. We fish using methods similar to those described above. Best times are Aug to ealry September. We've had some banner days out there, catching numbers of fish from 6-13 lbs. Does require that you watch the weather forecast and you do require a boat of at least 18 ft. Its an untapped fishery by Canadians. Most of the boats out there are charter boats from Cape Vincent New York.
