I am getting back into ice fishing, and am planning on getting a Jiffy Ice Auger! Is it worth the extra money for the D-icer Armor? Does it really keep it from icing up? I would like to here any input you might have on the subject. Thanks in advance. SAWGer

The Jiffey that I purchased last year has the
De-icer Armor on the business end of the auger.
I have only owned hand augers in the past. Depending
on the conditions, they can freezed up to the point
where the ice needs to be chipped away before the
auger will cut again. The jiffey is my first power
auger. The De-icer Armor does seem to work. I have
not had any ice up problems yet. I have cut hundreds
of holes.

My vote is for the De-icer Armor.

I'm twelve and I am under my dads user name. The slot size I think needs to be altered a bit in some ways because most the fish caught are in it. I know the reason it is there. It is there to keep the fisheries bigger. Back last winter I caught a 23 inch walleye, my first nice one. I was quite disapointed when we measured it. It was a very thrilling experience and it was fun to catch but I would have liked to keep it. One suggestion would be to let the fisherman keep one fish in the slot size. This is only my opinion. I love to fish and I hope to have many more fishing experiences.

I'm asking what is the best jigging technique? When my son caught his 23 inch walleye he had a fast jig and the fish hit hard.
