Quinte Fishing

Hi guys: I have been anxious to get on the ice but hard pressed to find the time this year. Planning a road trip from Ottawa. How is the fishing overall in Bay of Quinte area so far?

I have had a great season so far, I've been out 3 times and haven't been skunked yet, a few nice ones, 9 1/2 and a 7 1/2. I've put 7 slot sizes back and put back a few small 13" also. My bud caught a 9 lber over christmas. The fishing has been good but watch the ice. It is to be cold this week so there should be lots for this weekend. Have a good trip.

I can't wait. If you don't mind me asking, what is the preferred lure in your area. I know if I ask 10 different peiple I will get 10 different opinions but it can't help to have some inside information! Thanks for the report by the way.

large swedish pimple or any size you got should work. Keep to the bright colors yellow seems to do the trick. See a few posts earlier in the season.
