With the ice safe in most locations and almost
balmy temperatures forecast for this Saturday
and Sunday, I predict record amounts of icefishermen
will show up on Quinte this weekend.

I hope I can find a parking spot.

See you out there,

Batman,
That's a fair prediction but I bet simcoe will draw some big crowds with the ice fishing championships there this weekend. WIsh quinte had something similar

Not to be negative but I have to be negative regarding that wish - there would be many, many disappointed people if a derby such as the one held on Simcoe occured on the BOQ. The BOQ doesn't hold large numbers of pickerel as it once did and therefore 98% of the people would probably catch nada, zip, zilch, cob, zero. Simcoe has perch/pike which at least hit - give the number of lines in the water at the bay and the pickerel would be hugging the bottom like a thirsty newborn suckling on their mothers breast.

Good idea, but increase the footprint of where you'd be allowed to fish and then maybe.....I'be been skunked too often in the bay.

The thing with the simcoe derby is you don;t have to catch a fish to win a good prize. After the big fish prizes thay draw tickets for the rest of the of the goodies. My good buddy is fishing in that turny tomorrow. I will let you guys know how he does
