Out on and off all weekend . We didn't get a single walleye . We did how ever get some pike , one 3 pound , one 4 pound and one 8 pound . Some perch , but only one nice one . Had a lot of fun with our new toy , a under water video camera . We got all of the pike while using it . It is really interesting to see how they act around the bait . We only saw 2 walleyes on the camera and they didn't even give us a second look . Saw lots of perch but they weren't real hungry i guess . Saw a sheepshead as well .

Hey Duber,
maybe you didnt catch any eyes because you were too busy watching TV.lol I have a few friends who use the underwater cameras and they said they are cool but overall they actually caught less fish cause they spent less time concentrating on fishing. I have heard there are a few big ole sturgeon down there. Wouldnt you sh%$# if you saw one of them pick up your bait.

Hey Dan:

I sure can see how that could happen because it is a lot of fun watching whats going on down there . Some perch are almost comedians . Hopefully we can strike a balance beetween the new technology and the tride and true methods . Although we saw that the pike were not responding to the tradition jigging or the "shake" the only way they would strike was to slowly raise the bait and when it got about three feet off the bottom they would hit it like they hadn't ate in weeks . With out the camera we may have never caught the pike either . I'll take the pike for supper any day .
