Hey Paul: Looks like good stuff. I'm still curious as to the price of the Amsoil HP DFI oil if they could come close to $35 per gallon. If they can't come close to this price than I will stick with XD50 and support one of our local dealers.

for my understanding Quicksilver synthetic blend is just semi synthetic ,this means nobody know how much synthetic their is in it ,it could be 50 percent or it could be 10 percent ?the only one that knows this is the one that makes the products !!!

and the cost for 1 gal. AMSOIL HP Marine full Synthetic is $ 34.70 tax & ship in when you buy a case of 4 x 1 gal.

HP Marine Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil
The High-Performance Marine 2-Stroke Oil
Excellent for Evinrude® E-TEC™ factory-lean setting (replaces Evinrude XD100™ 2-Cycle Oil). Helps prevent deposits, protects against wear, has low smoke, protects against rust and has low aquatic toxicity. Superior performance as an injection oil or at 50:1 pre-mix.

If you want good product that meet the OEM requirement buy AMSOIL and if you don't want ,doesn't Mather to me it's everyone's choice to choose what ever they like

i am not here to push my product i am here because i love to fish and if i can help somebody with my product than i will do so

and if you want to know if your motor oil is good or bad check this website http://www.pqiamerica.com/ by the way that link was send to me by SynLube™ Lube−4−Life®

because i send them an email about the way they talk about other oil company !!!!!!!!!

Fishermen and women helping one another for a wide variety of things, that's what these boards do for each of us.

Seafoam is great stuff!!! I run a mixture of Quickleen, Seafoam in every tank of gas, mostly to combat the ethanol and crap in the gas these days.

Yes i use 100/1 premix ,i had a similar problem the motor was running rough and a friend told me to use amsoil 100/1 this would help solve my problem
so i have been using Saber Outboard 100/1 premix only for the second season now and do not have any problem ! the thing is saber outboard was made with more lubricity agent
and many other stuff ,this is why this work ,do you think AMSOIL would tell you to use 100/1 and not be sure if this work !! then this will probably be the end of AMSOIL
i call amsoil service dep. and ask if this was ok and i told them i have a merc, 220 hp !! and they reply the oil is specially made for this.
i had the motor check last season by a merc .dealer and he told me i can't use 100/1 this is to lean and told me my motor as no carbon deposit!! and this is how he could see that is too lean ,and just to prove him wrong i used it all season and still no problem
i use Saber Outboard 100/1 premix only and to keep my injector clean ,Quick Shot this will keep the injector free of gum & varnish & fights the Ethanol problem !!

see attach file about Quick Shot or go to http://automotive-lube.wboil.com/storefront/aqs.html quick shot also serve as a stabilizer and keeps the ethanol from separating !!

Furious,
I run the Quickleen stuff in every tank and you sure notice the difference when you look at the lack of carbon build up in the hub of your prop. You mentioned the ethnol issue and I'm sure you know but others might not, Mercury also has "Quickare" fuel additive which is 1oz to 10 gallons and its designed specifically to deal with ethnol and removes the varnish/gum build up associated with ethnol fuels.

I use it as well Dan, I premix all 3 in bottles and keep one in the truck when I fill up the boat, add it in and away I go... Like I said, with the exception of Seafoam, I run all Mercury oil and engine treatments with no issues. Not claiming one is better than the other, but it works lol!
