Hey there Shelly, nice article on the algae bloom,I don,t know where Jizz or whoever he is,that's what it is and nobody wants to talk about it,that's why all the beaches are closed,we just had the Rice Lake Algae bloom here a little while ago, fishin is just starting to pick up here again, the smallmouth and the largemouth are all scewed up,were catching the smallies where the largies are supposed to be,visa-versa.....,they have the Hasting's dam open, almost to Flood levels, walleye and smallies are going nuts, got twelve smallies today over four pounds, heavy current, close to dam,all on topwater poppers, just incredible....Have a good one...ROCKET!!!
Hey ROCKET...Thanks for the Heads Up on the Rice Lake Algae Bloom. I haven't been out for about a month due to some motor issues, and too much work. I believe the algae bloom on Rice means it's turnover time, which will make the fish move out of their summertime spots, and is probably the reason why the smallies and largies are all screwed up, not being where they are supposed to be. Bass and Walleye should be on the move and feeding, as you stated earlier.
