I finally had time to put together a report on my gelcoat repair. I have more projects coming I just haven't had the time to put the report together.

Here is a page highlighting this project.

nice job on the repair. Do you feel like tackling a metalflake repair? lol!
I have a good gouge on my boat from the george st ramp. I am just starting to look into repairing it. From what I have learned from asking around the steps I have to do are similar except I have to lay the flake in by hand to make sure it is sitting flat then fill with polyester resin.

Good pictures and a job well done

Thanks Dan,

It would be no problem to help if you want :)

I have a can of gelcoat that the guy I got the boat gave to me when I bought it. It's polyflake as well. See if you can get the polyflake from the manufacture, mine is premixed with clear gelcoat and a bit of tinting to make the dark brownish color.

Then all you have to do is mix in the hardner and surfacing wax. If it's on a horizontal area I would try to just sand the area and drip in the gelcoat or goop it in with a small paint brush.
