Hey

I am looking to fine tune a few things in my Quinte trolling presentation this fall in an effort to do everything I can to limit my catch of skunks.

Just wondering what size/pound test of snap swivel do you use when trolling crankbaits of Quinte?

I don't use a snap swivel, I only use a cross lock . Use the smallest that you can get through the bait eye.

Great question Jim.

I use to just tie directly to the split ring, being careful that no line gets
caught between the ring and have the start/end part of the ring closest to
the crank.

Then I started to take the split ring off my cranks and
replace it with a Berkley Cross-Lok snap ( no swivel ).

Both these methods still make quick lure change a bit of a pain.

It has taken me a bit of time to trust the Berkley Easy Clip Snap/Swivel, but
with the right size I find it works great for quick lure change in cold weather.
Figure a fish could pull the lure off the clip but it hasn't happen yet, ( also have the
split ring off the crank ).

I'm sure there are other quick change snaps/ clips , and would like to hear about too. :)

Here's a PDF of Mustads terminal tackle. Hope this helps.
