Not because the fishing was great, but finally a day for us with the winds in our favour. No whitecaps, didn't get soaked driving around, and didn't have to deal with my eyelids being frozen together from the waves crashing over the front of the boat
We've caught a few 7's 8's and 9's in the past years, but never a 10+ pounder.
Well today it FINALLY happened. Our first double digit Eye ever, and new PB at 11.2 pounds. Fish was caught on a green RR 800 over 85 FOW. Landed another 4 pounder 15 minutes later on a Purpledescent TT20. Trolling speed 1.8-2.0 mph. There was a lot of boats out today enjoying the great weather. We only caught 2 fish today, but was our most enjoyable day out there in the last 4 years in the month of November.
We will be back in 2 weeks for a 3 day trip, and pray for the same kind of weather. The fish are just an added bonus!!!

Nicely done, love the color on the big one, what a fishery we are so lucky! Now if we could get the winds to lay down for more than two days in a row!
