Thanks for the info TrophyHunter. I'm not really a Muskie fisherman, but they are scattered around the lakes, and sometimes I manage to hook into one every once in a while. I only target them a couple of times a year. I'm gonna give Quinte a break till November, so I think I'll give Scugog a shot next weekend. I'll be throwing huge crankbaits, and bucktails, and hopefully hook into a Ski!!!

Thanks again.

The Otanabee river from Campbell town up to lock 19 has been producing some great fall skis. Me and some friends are giving it and rice a good working over the past few days. We are heading to fish big bay and might give massasuga point a try this afternoon.

Was up at Pigeon today, out on the water at dawn, beautiful day to be out today.... but... WAY too many boats. We caught quite a few Nice bass, but nothing else. There was pleasure craft running back and forth at high speed all day, so i think the fish were a bit spooked. Nice to try something different though, the BOQ has been "off" for quite a while. Not even resident fish are being caught.

This warm weather will screw things up i think. I am going to stick to the Kawarthas until the BOQ heats up.

Did you fish up the river at all ? From the bridge near Emily park up to the trailer park can be great and it's pretty slow with boat traffic

I didnt fish the river, is that the one in Bobcaygeon?

I went out again today to Pigeon, i figured the boats would be gone, and they were.... beautiful day on the water all day. I managed to get 2 eyes and 1 muskie. eyes were 15" and 25", both released. The ski was 30 inches i guestimate. Eyes on jigs and ski on Musky Killer. I fished it hard today, dawn till dusk. All the fish were caught on the reef at Roetzel island/red rock.

I hope the eyes start biting in the BOQ soon, its a haul to get up to Pigeon from here.

I'm talking about the pidgeon river from the lake to Omemee. If your not having luck on the lake give it a try.

no, never made it that far down the lake. I launched at "John's" behind the store on East side of Nogies Creek, good paved launch and nice guy. I stuck to the North end of the lake and never went any further than Big Island. I "heard" the eyes were in deep water so i never went any further.

Is there chatter that some walleye are making it in the BOQ ?
